Most Brandon and area people have known me through my association with hockey. For the past 16 years I have played and coached professional hockey, and from that, I have acquired many special skills; Proven team player with strong character and leadership abilities > The qualities of a professional athlete which include a positive attitude, commitment to task, untiring work ethic and a determination to succeed.

I had a blessed childhood being a son of a hockey player, and had the opportunity to live all over the globe in various places such as Austria, Switzerland, Germany, England, and various spots in the USA. Even though we lived in all these places, Brandon was always our home in off-season. We permanently moved back to Brandon in 1998 when my Dad retired, and so began my journey as a “Brandon Boy”. I attended Vincent Massey School from grades 7-12, and played my minor hockey in Brandon all the way until Midget, when I was fortunate to be a part of Brandon’s first ever National Midget Championship team. Then as they say, the rest is history… My hockey career began with the Brandon Wheat Kings. That solidified my dream to become a professional hockey player. Playing for a great mentor like Kelly McCrimmon in Brandon prepared me for my pro career and I was lucky enough to be drafted 2nd round to the Florida Panthers. I played 5 years under contract with Florida between the Florida Everblades, Rochester Americans, and The Panthers. After my 5 years, I embarked on my European career, signing contracts in various countries such as Sweden, Italy, Norway, England, and Germany. After 9 years of professional hockey it was time to start thinking about “joining the real world”! My wife Jordana, and I moved back to Brandon with our son Jagger, daughter Lucca, and our well-travelled dog Boss. As great as it was traveling the world and playing hockey, we decided it was time to retire and establish roots in what we consider a safe, family oriented city. Here came the opportunity to keep myself involved in hockey, as the goaltending coach for the Brandon Wheat Kings! Lastly, but certainly not least, I begin the next exciting chapter in my life as a real estate advisor for Royal LePage Martin/Liberty. Real estate has always been a passion for myself. Not only that, but I get to join my father Cam Plante to develop our own team… Team Plante.

Besides being born in Regina, Saskatchewan my upbringing has been on Manitoba soil.
As a farm kid from Lakeland, Manitoba I can only remember having two passions....farming and hockey. My mom and dad, along with my two sisters and myself, operated a mixed farm throughout my childhood and teenage years.
During my hockey days I was fortunate enough to play at the higher levels, which included AAA Midgets, WHL, and finally the CIAU with the Brandon Bobcats.
Living in Brandon, I am still heavily involved with farming as I have many friends in the business. This enables me to stay up to date on the ever changing agricultural industry.
And as for hockey... my passion continues as I am involved with coaching at the house league and rep team levels.
I currently reside just south of Brandon on a small acreage with my fiancé (Jacquie), my four kids (Kellie, Kaeson, Jaycee and Brooks), and I am committed to giving them the same opportunities that I have been given in life.
Real estate has always been very interesting for me so I am extremely thankful to Royal LePage and Team Plante for presenting me with this opportunity.
